I am an interdisciplinary artist specializing in performance, sculpture and mixed media art. I am constantly questioning the concept of movement to transcend the viewer into new unexplored worlds. I often work outside of the canvas and deal with themes of connection, focusing on themes like hair. I explore the meaning of hair and braids and their meaning within societies past and present. By emphasizing aesthetics I try to develop forms that are based on subjective associations to form parallels, which lead the viewer to make new personal associations. My work mostly focuses on movement and relationships between people. Exploring their relationships to each other and my artwork. The inherent visual playfulness, along with the broadly specific themes throughout my work leaves the viewer within a manifold of ideas and universes to explore.
